The school strongly encourages the wearing of a uniform and asks that parents support us. Please ensure all items are clearly named, as the lost property ‘mountain’ is a problem!
Please apply sun lotion to your child before they come to school on sunny days.
Most items are available from any department store or large supermarket.
School Uniform can now be purchased directly from Smarty Pants. Please click here to take you directly to their website.
Hair longer than chin length should be tied back. This helps children to see and stops head lice from travelling! Please ensure that children have sensible hair designs and note that the dying of hair is strongly discouraged with primary aged pupils.
We ask that jewellery is not worn in school to prevent loss or injury. However, watches (which are not valuable) can be seen as an important learning opportunity.
For Health & Safety reasons (eg P.E. Food Technology, First Aid) we totally discourage any nail varnish or body piercings. Children with pierced ears should not wear earrings when undertaking P.E or any other sporting activity. If your child cannot remove their own earrings please send them into school on PE days without their earrings in.
The school provides all resources needed, so there is usually no need for your child to bring anything to school. We would ask that toys, games etc are kept at home, as their loss or ‘swaps’ can cause distress.Mobile phones should not come to school and if there is an exceptional reason why one is needed, it should be sent to the office for safe-keeping. A letter will be required from the parent giving permission for the mobile ‘phone to be in school. Occasionally, children will be asked to bring in items for a particular project, and the class teacher will let you know about this. Please note we are not insured for loss or damage to personal belongings on school premises.
The school office sells a variety of items such as PE bags, book bags and water bottles with the school logo.
