In 'normal' times, we would be able to have tours of the school so that we could show you our school. We would have pupils take you around the classrooms, show you their work and talk to you about their experiences of being a Brinkley Pupil.
Due to the global pandemic, we are making different arrangements.
We are holding four separate virtual meetings where we will talk to you about our school, what we do well and what our next steps are as well as having an opportunity for a Q and A session at the end.
There is also a video you can view below that gives you a glimpse into our school, including the main areas such as the library, the 'farm' and the reception classrooms.
The virtual meetings will be held as follows:
Tuesday 3rd November at 5pm
Thursday 5th November at 5 pm
Monday 9th November at 4 pm
Wednesday 11th November at 4 pm
If you would like to come along to one of these informal meetings, or would like to know more about our school but cannot attend, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll be happy to help.
We look forward to meeting you and sharing our wonderful school!
"Having a child start school during a pandemic is certainly not easy but the staff at Brinkley Grove have made it a smooth and successful process. There has been lots of communication from the school and any questions have been answered swiftly and in a reassuring way.
Mr Smith and his staff have all been so welcoming and as you walk around the school at drop-off or pick-up time, all the staff are friendly and greet parents with a smile. I was so impressed that, even in the first week Mr Smith had obviously made the effort to get to know the children and greeted my daughter by name. It's those small touches that make all the difference and make you feel that your child is truly valued as an individual.
The induction process worked really well and it allowed my daughter to settle into school with ease. She loves going to school and literally runs to get there in the morning! In the lead-up to her start we were offered opportunities to learn more about the start to school through virtual meetings and these were really helpful - allowing us (and our daughter) to meet the teachers too.
A real effort was made to help us get to know the school and staff - there was a video tour of the school, as well as staff taking the time to share information about themselves on the website which gave us more of a sense of who they were. We certainly appreciated this as it reassured us and helped our daughter feel comfortable and excited about her start - rather than feeling like she was stepping into the unknown!
I can't emphasise enough how approachable, helpful and welcoming the staff have been and this has made for a brilliant start to school for our daughter."
