INCLUSION AT BRINKLEY GROVE

Welcome to the Inclusion part of the web site. I am Suzanna Bellamy and I manage inclusion across the school.

I have been a SENCO since 1997 and have a range of qualifications and experience in all areas of inclusion. I have a diploma in specific learning difficulties and accredited by the British Dyslexia Association in diagnosing dyslexia and working with children who have dyslexia. I have autism training and have taken accredited courses in sign language and speech and language programmes.

I have just completed the National Qualification for SENCOs at the level of Advanced SENCo’s as leaders and have completed training on running the one planning process at Brinkley and other schools.

I welcome parents for an informal chat or a more formal in depth consultation if they have any concerns about their child. I cover all areas of SEN including Gifted & Talented children, behaviour problems at home and school, mental health difficulties, barriers to learning as well as disabilities of any nature that affect children accessing the curriculum or taking full part in school life.

The way we manage inclusion at Brinkley Grove gives you have a say in how your child is supported and more information and I am more than happy to assist you as best I can.

You can contact me on this e-mail : sbellamy@brinkleygrove.essex.sch.uk or phone the school number 01206 852266 and ask for an appointment.

I very much look forward to meeting with you and strive to create the best possible outcomes for all children.

Local Offer

The Local Offer is published as part of the SEND reforms under the Children and Families Act 2014 and is always developed over time, with all partners involved in reviewing it. The local offer or information report is for you as parents to understand what we as a school can offer you in terms of support for your children and the family. I hope it is clear and easy to read and understand. The local offer is written in conjunction with the governing body who have approved it, and the parent forum who meet with Mr Smith regularly to discuss different things about the school.
The Essex local offer can be found here
